Skiing in the Himalayas

Would you like to risk your life in the next few months? Nothing can get your adrenaline going like knowing death might be just around the corner. This can be accomplished by skiing in the Himalayas.

You might think we’re recommended that you don’t go on such an adventure. However, this isn’t the case at all. It simply depends on what type of person you are. If you like to play it safe and your idea of a vacation is sitting on a beach while watching the sun set, then the Himalayas aren’t for you. On the other hand, if you like living life on the edge so you can feel alive at every single moment, then visit the Himalayas as soon as possible.

It’s true that the slopes here should only be attempted by expert skiers and snowboarders. These slopes are high, fast and unpredictable, which leads to extreme invigoration. That said, the interesting part about skiing here is that the greatest dangers don’t lie on the slopes.

Many people who ski the Himalayas choose to stay in Kashmir. If you choose this option, then you should know that there have been several militant uprisings in the recent past. Most governments have negative travel warnings on Kashmir. The good news is that tourists aren’t the target. The targets are authority figures like policemen and soldiers. The odds of an uprising taking place while you’re visiting are slim. Even if it does take place, you’re not likely to be involved. If you get really unlucky, then you will just need to dodge a few bullets. No big deal.

If you would like to avoid dodging bullets on your vacation, then consider staying in Delhi or at Gulmarg. The problem with Delhi is that you can’t drink the tap water. As far as the food goes, Delhi Belly is a common occurrence for travelers. This isn’t much fun, especially if you’re traveling with a romantic interest. If stay at Gulmarg, then you will be staying at the highest resort in the world. The only negatives here are that you’re advised to avoid alcohol and sleeping pills. If you can handle that, then you’re free of bullets and Delhi Belly. You will also be free to brave the most challenging and exciting slopes in the world.
